CHANGE happens perpetually in the world, in our communities, and in our homes. It affects our families and friends, and it affects each of us. We can feel uncertain, anxious, and fearful about what is happening to us and around us. We can also feel excitement and joy. The challenges we face affect us in many ways, but they do not define us. We all want to live productively, safely, and peacefully.
As an older therapist and a social worker, I have experience helping others with challenges that can occur when world events seem overwhelming and when things happen in our own lives that are unexpected and unwelcome. I have over 10 years’ experience helping people and those who care for them deal specifically with many challenges, including but not limited to:
Aging and Life Transitions
Chronic Illness
Cognitive Impairment
We are all connected but we can sometimes feel alone. Sometimes, the messages we create for ourselves cause us to think and act in ways that may not be best for us. Managing our thoughts and feelings about what happens in our lives helps us to understand ourselves better.
I have over ten years of experience working with people who are impacted by cognitive impairment and their loved ones.
I work with people of all ages who are working to deal with life transitions.
As a social worker it is important to me to be active in helping marginalized communities and individuals experiencing hardship.
